Iron Council and Auriaya Down

Sunday, May 3, 2009, we downed two new encounters, Assembly of Iron (Iron Council) and Auriaya. Excellent work by everyone with our first attempts and kills while we were adjusting our strats. This gave us some time to work on Hodir and we’ll have him and Freya down next week for two more new bosses, and maybe more.

Grats to everyone who got loot: Aranis got Runed Ironhide Boots and Cloak of the Makers, Kaalli nabbed Iron-studded Mantle, Crystelle picked up Greaves of the Rockmender, Isthalas picked up Plans: Treads of Destiny, and there were two other items that slip my mind at the moment.

Ignis and Kologarn Down

Thursday, April 30, 2009, we downed both Ignis and Kologarn for our first 25man kills. We got Ignis down so well that no one was dead at the end of the fight, excellent job. Kologarn proved a bit more challenging, but we downed him nevertheless.

Grats to all those that got loot: Narsica picked up his second Fragment of Val’anyr and Horologist’s Wristguards, Marbarly got Worldcarver and Girdle of Embers, Palamie nabbed Scepter of Creation, Bigseeker received Twisted Visage, Woowei got Shoulderplates of the Deconstructor, Andion snatched up Golem-Shard Sticker, Kaalli picked up Giant’s Bane, Ik nabbed Treacherous Shoulderpads, and a couple of other things that slips my memory since there were a lot of upgrades!

Deconstructor and Emalon Down

Great job on everyone for working out XT-002 Deconstructor for our first kill last night. Tweaking our strat made it getting him down fairly easily. Grats to all that got loot from him, especially Narsica picking up our first Fragment of Val’anyr. Dmitry also got Brass-lined Boots and Consumed nabbed Quartz-studded Harness.

We also downed Emalon the Storm Watcher our second time after working out some strats and finished the night off him. Grats to Spirithammer grabbing Conqueror’s Leggings of Sanctification, Stormhooves nabbed Conqueror’s Worldbreaker Legguards, Consumed picked up Furious Gladiator’s Cloak of Ascendancy and Demonfuzz snatched Furious Gladiator’s Cloak of Dominance.

Great job everyone. Next week we will focus getting Ignis and Kologarn down, make sure to read up on our strats and come prepared.

Razorscale Down

Thursday, April 23, 2009 was our first Razorscale kill. We’ve downed Flame Leviathan twice (since the two weeks Ulduar has been released), once with a tower up, but he’s very easy so didn’t really bother mentioning him. Razorscale proved to be a bit more challenging, but on our second week, we tweaked our strat and downed him fairly easily. Great job to everyone, and grats to all those that good loot: Woowei got Dragonslayer’s Brace, Demonfuzz nabbed Living Flame, and Bigseeker received Saronite Mesh Legguards.

Next up: Emalon, Ignis, and XT.

Heroic Naxx Cleared

Well, first week officially back raiding and we’ve cleared Naxx. Excellent work by everyone and I wanted to say thanks for those that have been working hard on upgrading your gear in the off time, preparing for 25-man. We’ll be grinding out Naxx for another two weeks and then working on Malygos; make sure you are doing the Nexus dailies, it prepares you for phase three of the encounter.

Offically Back Raiding

Well, we’re officially back raiding. We took two months off to give people a break over the holidays and started 25-man raiding on January 6, 2009. So far we’ve cleared Spider, Plague, and Construct wings in Naxx, Archavon and Sartharion the two days of starting off. Sunday we’ll finish the Death Knight wing, Sapphiron and Kel. In a couple of weeks we’ll start on Malygos, make sure you are doing the Nexus dailies to understand third phase of that fight.

Lot of screenshots and upgrades in the two days, but I’ll just post the screenshots, and grats to all those finally getting rid of t6/sunwell gear.

As a reminder, we’ll be forming 10-man’s for members, mark in the forums on what days works best for you. So far, we are looking at one group mid-week and one over the weekend (Fri/Sat). Also make sure you do not save yourself to pug 25-man’s unless we’ve already done an instance.

Vashj and Kael Down

We cleared Hyjal and Black Temple in two days; we have a three day raiding schedule, so we did some cleaning of old content officially killed Vashj and Kael. That closes our original plan when we started to get through all the content up to Black Temple. But, we are still pushing forward and have been working on Sunwell and should have Kalecgos/Sathrovarr down before the expansion.

Vashj is a lot easier, especially with being able to root indoors, but it still takes coordination. This wasn’t our actual first kill, but first for some, so we’ll just call it here.

Still a complex fight, boss health definitely helped, but we were close in the past. Either way, down is down and we can write it off.

Archimonde Down

Great job on downing Archimonde. Full clear on Hyjal in about 3 hours, then clearing Black Temple to Shade of Akama is good stuff, all the while finally getting down Archimonde. If we down Illidan on Thursday, we may pick up Sunwell on Sunday!

Illidan Stormrage Down

Well, its been one hell of a journey, but we’ve reached our goal that we set out to do: get to Illidan and down him. Its been almost a year… I came aboard, the guild was small at the time, but wanted to see end content. We started to push forward as a group, we had our ups and downs, but we’ve built a pretty close family that I enjoy everyone’s company immensely.

Grats to all those who got loot! Woowei got her t6 chest to get her 4 set bonus, Soren picked up his t6 chest, and Devroe nabbed the other one. Dmitry picked up Stormrage Signet Ring and Mak nabbed Memento of Tyrande. No glaives this round, but hopefully soon as well as all the other great stuff Illidan drops.

But we’re not done, since we are a more casual atmosphere without a break-neck pace as far as raiding is concerned, we’ll be approaching Wrath of the Lich King with our same ideals, have fun with friends, meet new people, get some raiding in, see as much of the game as possible.
