Users Using Hotmail

There’s a problem with users using Hotmail accounts; for some reason mail isn’t received by these user accounts for registration and other purposes on this site. I’m trying to figure out a solution, but just be aware that there is an issue with this. For now, its suggested you use a different email address, and imho, Gmail is much more useful and isn’t having similar problems. Lot of spammers use Hotmail to send out email, so it may be that spam blockers blacklist the whole Hotmail domain, or it could be something else. Registration is working on this site, and other types of confirmation like setting up your Gravatar are working as well; I’ve confirmed it. All the support requests I’m getting are people using Hotmail. Please try changing your email address to something else, and let me know if the problems are still persisting.

Update (Feb 20, 2008): Yahoo mail seems to have the same problems as Hotmail. So far, those are the only two not receiving email confirmation on registrations and other things on this site. Gmail definitely receives confirmations. Just confirmed this today.
