Hey stranger. We are in the middle of a pretty big roster reloading.
How have you been?
Been good. I ran into some trouble earlier this summer with my mom getting diagnosed with Lung Cancer, so I ended up quitting WoW for the time being. My guild has my spot waiting for me when I come back, but it probably won't be until Legion is released, as from what I have been told, there isn't anything in this tier to come back to. The good news is my mom is recovering and just got done with Chemo, and is waiting for everything else to clear up. Sounds like she will be a survivor :) Otherwise I have just been doing stuff with family and friends. I went to my first Packer game last weekend (terrible game, but still fun). Went to Rock USA again and got to see Avenged Sevenfold (my #1 band), and a bunch of awesome 80s bands (Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, Def Leppard).
I heard through the grapevine that Putz stopped raiding?
Yeah, Putz stopped raiding. Like Helly said, we're in serious rebuild mode, but I've been shocked how well it's progressing. Last night we legitimately had some of our cleanest kills ever even bringing returning vets and apps that are way undergeared, many of them seeing the fights for the first time.
The game is just stale and it feels like Blizzard just completely punted on this expac right after launch. I pretty much log on to raid and nothing else. Been fun playing other games I missed out on though.
Actually my mom passed away in December. She took a turn for the worse around October. Overwatch has been great, it is a feel good type of game. Meaning even if you suck, you still get the gratification of killing a bunch of people.
I miss raiding, which is the only reason I want to come back to WoW. Plus the Dungeon system in Legion sounds sweet if you lack the people to do raids.
I think raiding is done atm, though I remember reading a Legion rally was a goal. OW does sound fun, and I like the loo kof Legion too, I just don't have the gumption/will not to get heavily involved again, and honestly don't want to get heavily involved again.
I am sorry to hear about your mom, I know its only June, but hopefully that ordeal is smoother in memory now.
