Looting

25man Raids
We’ve implemented an in-game dkp system called EPGP, which will be effective starting January 3, 2008. We’ve spent many months testing out different systems and have felt that EPGP is the most balanced and fair system for new and veterans alike. We spent a full month testing this system and we are now ready to go with it.

We felt it was important to reward attendance for those that put in effort to progress the guild, thus why we went with a dkp system. We went with EPGP since it has a decay system and prevents dkp hoarding and also allows new recruits a quick way to start getting loot. This is not like your normal dkp systems, make sure to read the EPGP guide to understand it more if you have questions. We want to make sure loot is spread fairly and not to exclude new players that join.

But, if you only show up for a couple raids a month and don’t put much effort into raiding, don’t expect priority over those that put in the time to help the guild and put in their time. You will get loot, but there will be an order to the chaos and you will have to put in time to get some priority in the system; that’s just the name of the game.

If you go away for a long extended period of time, your points will decay, and you will have to get back raiding to build up your priority. It only makes sense. If you hoard your dkp, the system decays points every raid by 10%, so the system encourages to use your points when you can so you don’t lose as many points. Overall, the system is well balanced and keeps things in check.

10man Raids
We are keeping a generic /rand 100 roll system for 10man content to keep things simple and not to inflate dkp points for 25man content. The concept is basically roll if the item is an upgrade, you get one need roll and one greed roll for the night (if you get the item).
